LATINO/A MEDIA NOW: On Reception, Work and Cultural Politics

Join four interdisciplinary media scholars in a timely discussion of contemporary Latin@ media with an emphasis on how Latin@s are consuming, using and reshaping the new media that is being targeted to them and the new public spheres and definitions of Latinidad that may be in the works. Speakers will also address calls for action and guides for media activism to increase equity and representation in contemporary media markets.
